Nokia Siemens Upgrading Hutchison Telecom to HSPA+ in Hong Kong

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Siemens has nabbed a five-year contract to upgrade Hutchison Telecom’s network to HSPA+, in Hong Kong. Included in the juicy contract for Nokia Siemens is a minimum equipment purchase of close to $45 million. That’s a lot of equipment. In addition to the upgrade, Nokia Siemens will also be deploying its NetAct network management system to help monitor and manage the network… Also, they’ll provide training for those that need it, and maintenance for when things break or go bad. Surely this will be a lot of work for Nokia Siemens, but they’re the pros. Congrats to Hutchison Telecom, hopefully the upgrade to HSPA+ goes smooth as silk.
