Sprint adds even more eco-friendly accessories

Sprint (NYSE: S) is trying really hard to win some green points in the customers’ eyes. At the end of May, we said they’ve added green accessories to their portfolio and now they’re doing it again. This time, they’ve announced:

  • All-In-One Vehicle and Wall Charger, which allows users to drop other chargers and use this one exclusively. That’s in case, they [customers] decide to pour out $39.99 to own one.
  • Solio solar powered charger, which comes as an addition to the existing SOLIO Mono Hybrid Charger. As you can guess, it’s for people living sunny areas such as California and Florida, only, and the carrier will start offering it in October.
  • Eco-Friendly Universal Cases made from sustainable materials like cotton and linen. These come in two sizes and each cost $19.99.

At the end of the press release, Sprint reminds us that their recently announced Samsung Reclaim is the first phone in the U.S. which is constructed partly from corn-based bio-plastic. Moreover, they say with every Reclaim purchase, $2 of the proceeds will benefit the Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program, which supports land conservation across the United States… More information about Sprint’s eco accessory offering is available from this page.
