Remember The Milk goes Android

One of the most popular task management web services is extending its mobile offering. After conquering Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and the iPhone – the cow is coming to an Android smartphone near you. Of course — just like that was the case with the iPhone version — a Pro account is required to manage your tasks on the go. If you don’t have it [Pro account], you can try out the app for 15 days for free and later decide whether its worth upgrading.

Anyway, RTM for Anfroid brings following features (aside from offering standard task management):

  • Background syncing – something that doesn’t work on the iPhone!
  • Notifications – upcoming tasks will popup in the notification bar
  • Location-awareness – see tasks located nearby (just like on the iPhone version)
  • Homescreen widget – which, in some cases, will remove the need to open the app. Very handy!
  • Support for both portrait and landscape screen orientation.

In a nutshell, Remember The Milk folks have once again proved they know how to keep their customers happy, accross the mobile platforms. Hopefully, a Symbian S60 client is also in works… In the meantime, if you’re an Android handset owner who at the same time loves RTM, look for it in the Android Market.
