Solar-powered Bluetooth Headset Supports Perpetual Standby

i.Tech has announced a new Bluetooth headset called the SolarVoice 908. Guess what it does? Yeah, it charges by the sun, which, under optimal conditions, can keep the sucker in sleep mode indefinitely. Solar panelling is nice for something that will spend most of its life in a car, but it’s far from the 908’s only trick. For one, you can pair the headset up with another for stereo capabilities, if you think you can get away with the fashion crime of wearing two mono Bluetooth headsets instead of an honest-to-god stereo headset. On top of that, you can apparently listen to “web sites and YouTube” through the headset if you’re in a Wi-Fi zone. That’s kind of cool – I would like to know if it works for gaming, especially the microphone, since I have yet to see that kind of thing work via Bluetooth.  If you’re looking for more solar gear, i.Tech announced a few solar phone chargers recently as well.
