Nokia Siemens is at it again. This time they’ve been awarded a contract from T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) Austria to update its 3G radio access network. The work is due to be completed by mid 2010. As per usual, Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Siemens will be providing T-Mobile with their NetAct network management system to keep track of their network, manage it, and optimize it. During the upgrade, Nokia Siemens will throw down around 2,500 base stations across the country. Schnikeys, that’s a lot of base stations. In the end, I trust T-Mo customers in Austria will enjoy strong 3G signals from one end of the country to the other.
