Nokia (NYSE: NOK) has released firmware updates for 4 of its smartphones. The updated firmware for E63 (v200.21.012), E66 (v300.21.012) and E71 (v300.21.012) devices includes a new version of Nokia messaging and Hotmail application, and improved HTML support. As for the N96 update (version 30.033), it will add a Facebook app and improved ringtone audio levels. In addition, all software releases include several performance improvements.
You can update your devices via Nokia Software Updater (available via Nokia PC Suite), or in the case of the N96 – over-the-air (procedure picture above). As always, it is advised that you backup your device before hitting the “Update” button.

(v300.21.012) is the current E71 firmware
Seriously? E71 300.21.012? I updated to that version 18/06/2009 :p Dont know how I got it, cause I havent found that version on any other E71 I tried to update.
Firmware for Nokias is usually available for a few months before they do a really official release. in june it was available only for e66/71, not e63/n96 (AFAIK)
I just got to laugh @ myself: I had swapped the SD card, synchronized everything with outlook, copied phone memory to my PC, done a full backup of the phone and jotted down some notes on how I like to keep things in case they’d fail to restore. Only then did I look at the digits and started kicking myself.
Damn, i needed a new E71 firmware too. Podcasting has crapped out lately and even a hard reset wont fix it.
My RM-247 N96 is still stuck on v10.043.
Nokia Singapore really doesn’t like their users to push out updates. This is what I really despise about them… urgh…
