TiVo App for BlackBerry Now Available

Sweet, sweet, merciful crap. TiVo has arrived for the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM)! RIM has just announced the availability of the new app, and sure enough, there sits the darn thing in App World. With TiVo for BlackBerry, you can access your channel listings and program your favorite shows while you’re away from home. Search for shows by title, keyword, actor/actress, or even the type of show. Browse categories, daily picks and much more. Unfortunately I’m TiVo-less up here, but I imagine this will be more than a big deal for many a TiVo user. The convenience of scheduling your shows while out-and-about is worth it alone.
More key features:
- Connect a TiVo DVR to a home network or high-speed Internet connection to download music, videos, and movies
- Record two different television shows simultaneously
- Pause live or recorded television shows
- Rewind recorded television shows
- Access media files and transfer data between a computer and a TiVo DVR
Oh yeah, one more thing. It’s free. Check it out now in App World. To hit it up direct from your BlackBerry Browser, head over to http://mobile.blackberry.com/tivo.
TiVo for BlackBerry is supported on all current BlackBerry models, and should work fine in Canada and the US on all carriers.

sweet little app, big improvement over m.tivo.com; its just a pitty it doesn’t allow you to remotely review the TiVo todo list.
This app alongside wonderful remote (wifi tivo remote control app) gives us full control over TiVo from the ‘berry.
