According to always highly informed TmoNews — when it comes to all things T-Mobile — the Deutsche Telekom-owned carrier will start pushing Android 1.6 aka Donut updates to “select” G1 owners today. Moreover, those with myTouch 3G will wait for about 24 hours more to get that sexy new Android Market (among other things) on their all-touchscreen devices. It’s a rumor, and we can’t confirm much at this stage. We do, however, know that the new SDK is ready and that the update has already been pushed to the HTC Android Developer phone owners few days ago. I’m not sure this proves anything, but I do hope Google will release Android 1.6 sooner rather than later. If anyone of you has the G1, please let us know when you get the update. Thanks.
