BlackBerry Atlas Caught on Video

What do you get when you give the BlackBerry 9700 Bold (Onyx) the Curve 8900′s keyboard, and strip away the 3G? The device code-named Atlas, it seems. Apparently due to hit the Chinese market, this particular Atlas is likely packing 128 MB of application memory, running OS 5.0.0.239 and featuring the now-standard optical trackpad. Aside from the battery door and Curve-style keyboard, the Atlas’ housing looks identical to the Onyx. Now, the code name is a little confusing since the last time we heard, the Atlas was going to to be the Wi-Fi-toting Tour coming to Verizon. Has the project been moved in another direction? If this video gets taken down, just do a quick YouTube search – and even if the alternatives get taken down, I think we can count on a Megaupload link shortly.
