Samsung low-end phones - 2120, 2130 and 1160

In its efforts to conquer a portion of the ever-growing Indian mobile market, Samsung has launched three new low-cost handsets (from left to right), as part of their “Guru” series: 2120, 2130 and 1160. Here’s the rundown for each of the phones:

  • 2120 comes with a 1.5-inch CSTN display, Bluetooth, VGA camera, music player, FM Radio with integrated antenna, GPRS, microSD expansion slot (cards of up to 2GB are supported), Mobile Tracker, and the so called “Bike Mode” which allows users to receive calls only from preset numbers, while riding a bike. The price is Rs. 3,240.
  • 2130 is pretty much identical to the 2120, with the only difference being in a little bit different design and the presence of dual loudspeakers. The 2130 will go for Rs. 3,600.
  • Finally, the 1160 prides itself with an ultra-long talk time (up to 12 hours), stereo FM, dual loudspeakers and a torch. The price is Rs. 2,249.

And that’s about it. Something tells me Samsung will manage to sell a bunch of these…
