Seems like Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) are winning network upgrade contracts left, right and center these days… With good reason no doubt, as the folks at NSN are among the best! Recently they won another contract from India’s Unitech Wireless. The new contract will enable NSN to supply a GSM network to the company in 6 areas of India. The areas include: Gugarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Unitech Wireless’ Managing Director Stein Erik Vellan commented on the deal:
We are creating a new global telecom model. We call it the Telco of the Next Decade that leverages existing competencies in the market to drive cost and time efficiencies, superior quality and flexibility that future proofs our operations in a rapidly changing competitive environment. Our partnership with Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Siemens Networks will help us pursue our unique model in these six circles as well.
Congrats to all the players, and best of luck to all involved on this project.
