The up and coming Canadian carrier, wind, is getting close to launch, and will apparently be bragging no contracts, no system access fee, free caller ID and voice mail, no long distance charges for calls within your province, and a freaking Microsoft Surface in every store. Hot damn, sign me up. Their first devices, according tipsters, will include:

- BlackBerry Bold 9700
- HTC Snap
- Samsung Gravity 2
- Huawei U8220

According to wind‘s corporate blog, this information isn’t entirely accurate, so take it all with a grain of salt. There will apparently be three rate plans to chose from at launch, but from what I’ve seen, wind is big on customer communication – if there are any plans in particular or other changes you’d like to see in a Canadian wireless carrier (lord knows we’ve all got our fair share of complaints), drop them a line.
