Yep, I know there’s more than one of you out there that have been waiting for this one. Ever since Will gave us that awesome sneak peak of Rock Band from CTIA WITE 2009, this one has been highly anticipated. While the launch date wasn’t known exactly, we knew it was coming soon… and thankfully, it’s here!

Play the guitar, bass, drums or take the mic as the lead singer. Of course there are the standard levels of gameplay (easy, medium, difficult), plus you can play solo, crank up a quickplay, or hit the road in ‘Tour Mode’. You can also rock out with your friends via Bluetooth, or sync up via Facebook. There’s a handy ‘message center’ in the app that lets you check on your bands’ status, and you can even get push notifications when a buddy wants you to join him/her for a jam session.

In addition to the 20 songs that come with, Rock Band also an in-app music store that lets you purchase more music from the likes of the Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravitz, and more.

So far, there’s been nothing but glowing reviews. You can pick up Rock Band for $9.99 in the App Store (iTunes link). Expensive for sure, but me thinks this thing is going to be flying off the virtual shelves. I’m oh so tempted… I wish Apple hadn’t made it so easy to buy apps… Tap… tap… purchase!
