Verizon Delivers Motorola Droid Ahead of Schedule… Sort of.

Not long ago the folks over at MobileCrunch received a package from Verizon. The package featured the creepy/spooky red eye that the Motorola Droid is fast becoming known for. Could the Moto Droid be in the box? You’d certainly think so, right?

I’m not going to play spoiler here, so check out the video above to see what was found inside. Before you watch it, what do YOU think will be in the box? Leave your guess in the comments, and then hit play on the video. Do it! Do it now! :)

A huge high five to the folks at Verizon for this one.

Important note: One other fact we can pull from the video? The Motorola Droid should arrive on Verizon November 9th in November.

[Update]
That would be November 2009, not Nov. 9.

Or it could mean November 2009 Sherlock… :)

The 11.09 date on the card could refer to November 9th, but more likely just means November 2009.

11.09…. is not November 9th. It’s November 2009. As in the entire month. The actual date would be 11.9 or 11/9. And these have been around longer than Mobile Crunch’s video… like 2 days earlier they were shown.

I think that it is clear that the phone will be available in November 2009, not necessarily November 9th. This does not necessarily discount the reports at it would be released October 30th. I could be wrong, but a card reading “11.09″ does not seem conclusive. Of course that is Verizon’s goal.
