Bing App Rolled Out to Verizon BlackBerry Storm 9530 Users

Those of you who have already gone out and picked up the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Storm2 will have likely already noticed the new Bing application that comes preloaded – it was certainly one of the first things that caught me by surprise when trying out RIM’s latest touchscreeen smartphone. Well, Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) has announced that Verizon (NYSE: VZ) customers packing the original BlackBerry Storm 9530 as well; the app packs everything you would need from a search app, like voice search, location awareness, predictive results, and mapping functions. For me, Bing remains a curious and almost tempting alternative to Google (NSDQ: GOOG), but have yet to really make the plunge.
