T-Mobile Suffering Heavy-Duty Service Outage
By Simon Sage on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009 at 6:34 PM PST In Services, T-Mobile

Sound the air raid sirens, duck under your desks, T-Mobile (NYSE: DT)’s wireless network is undergoing a pretty hardcore service interruption. From their Twitter account:
All – We’re aware of the current service disruption. Our rapid response teams have been mobilized to restore service as quickly as possible. We will provide further updates as more information is available.
Hoboy. Those T-Mobile customers out there, feel free to leave a comment with your own technical problems, how long they’ve lasted, where you’re located, and if/when service has been restored. We’ll update this post as soon as we hear more about the issue.

I live in atlanta, ga. Around 5pm on november 3rd i could not receive calls from anyone, but i could make calls to non t-mobile numbers. Now around 8:30pm, my service is back to normal; i can make calls and receive them. I never lost data coverage.
Calls made between TMobile 2 Tmobile over UMA is working in GA and outside network calls as well….
back online in atlanta
Service is back up in Los Angeles after approx 4 hour outage. Phone, data and internet service is working – can’t vouch for text messaging, since I don’t send a lot of text messages.
I’m in Dallas/Ft Worth and I have no data or signal of any kind. No calls are going through and text messages are failing to send. I can’t send or receive anything.
I don’t know when my service cut off. I was able to send a text message at about 4:00 pm, but I was unaware of the outage so I didn’t think about it.
I’d say it’s been down about 2 hours here. This is quite frustrating..
T-Mobile is out in Atlanta. This horrible with the economic downfall of this time and we get screwed over again. Now how we supposed to get jobs if our phones don’t work. Do we get a refund a discount or do we just boycott T-Mobile and go to a service provider that has intermitent service not complete service outage….

My service has been gone since 6:30pm….it is now 9pm and still it has not returned. I contacted the company and the only thing they were able to tell me was that they were aware of the problem. I also asked them if I would at least be able to make emergency calls as this is my only phone line and they informed me that I would in fact not be able to. This is very annoying and unsafe! I am very displeased with their service and the manner in which they have dealt with the situation so far!
My text messaging has been completely out and i have unlimited loyalty and i just received 3 texts from a few hours ago…and it hasn’t been turned back on yet.
Detroit MI. 9:10 pm Out of service out here. Tmobile should comp our bills for their service interruption they do it to us if we fail to make a payment or stop service. Its too late to go to a tmobile store now and freak out. How do they expext to have business accounts for 24 hour companies if they cant commit! If they dont I say we band together for a class action lawsuit for a breech of contract.
Trying to sue t-mobile or file a class action suit (or whatever ridiculous stunt some nimrod is thinking of) in regards to a service outage is really lame. As stated with ALL mobile carriers, coverage is NOT 100% guaranteed. Services and companies can’t be perfect. That should let those people know that they are too dependant on phone in the first place. I live in OKC and I was out for about 3 hours.. BIG DEAL! I know some companies run 24/7 or whatever, but still.. try to be realistic instead some douchebag. T-Mobile is a great company with great service. So instead of bitching about being out of service for a few hours, realize that it could be worse. You could be without service period!
Oklahoma City here. Zero t-mobile service.
yea, i had no Tmobile service for 3 hours!!! I finally got thru to customer service on my LAND LINE and of course all they said is there is a National Service Outage they are “working on.” Add to this the database loss on my 2nd phone Sidekick and I’ve had it with Tmobile. Of course if I cancel my account it is $250 a line. What CRAP!
My T-Mobile service came back up 20 minutes ago here in Dayton, Ohio USA.
It only affected me and my coworkers for about 30-40 minutes here in So Cal. Only SMS went down. Phone and Web never seemed to go out. Everyone else seems to be sporadic. Up and down, 5 min here, 20 min there.
I’ve been a long time customer of tmobile. had my lines with voicestream before they were taken over. Anyway, i’ve had alot of problems with tmobile over the past couple months. Texts would not work to and from anyone outside of tmobile network for 3 months. I tried repeatedly to have it fixed. i finally had to have them change the numbers on all but one of the lines. that finally fixed the issue. it took a complaint to the better business bureau to finally be able to speak to a supervisor. lol. i wish i could cancel my service and switch to a more reliable provider. I’m stuck for another year and couple months because of a friggin contract. You suck T-Mobile.
I own the sidekick and im from cali and Since around 230 to 45 yesterday, nov 3, I have not been able to send or receive texts. Its still not fix and its extremely annoying. Some people need cell phones. Tmobile or microsoft need to do a better job of keeping their servers up or al their customers will switch over.
Service is still intermitent as of 1pm Wednesday, looks like I picked the wrong day to end my landline service. I can’t wait to see how this affects billing for the month.
TMo service outage again!
