Two more Canadian HSPA networks = a whole lot more devices

Bell and telus both kicked off their HSPA networks this week, with a lot of new phones to take advantage. Of course, in the U.S., droid mania has kicked in, and we give some thoughts and impressions of the HTC Eris.

On the giveaway chopping block, we’ve got the smooth, simple Motorola H790 Bluetooth headset for one lucky U.S. commenter in this very post.

Simon Sage

Simon Sage’s education largely surrounded writing, technology and online community, leading him to begin his blogging career at www.BlackBerryCool.com and to quickly discover a vibrant and active community surrounding BlackBerry and mobile technology. In exploring RIM’s platform, he has learned what enterprises are looking for in mobility as well as what makes the innocuous BlackBerry so appealing to them. Recently Simon’s been covering RIM’s gradual move into an already-crowded consumer market, and the impact of burgeoning challengers, such as the iPhone, as well as long-time leaders, like Nokia, on BlackBerry’s advancement. With plenty of content under his belt, Simon will be branching off a bit to see what other smartphone manufacturers are working on while still using BlackBerry as a barometer. At IntoMobile, you can count on his posts being even-handed, well-informed and thought-out.

droid mania is a great marketing scheme. however, i don’t think the droid, although a very nice device can compete with the iphone or even other android devices.
even though i want to belive in Motorola, it left a bad taste in my mouth a few years back.

  • Paavan Vasudev

Let me keep my moto going with this bluetooth headset and my new motocliq!

  • anis

I agree with ed…moto has just not lived up to other manufacturers standards in the last 5 years (since th razr), as a rep I usually tell ppl not to buy moto phones cuz they’ll see more probs with them than maybe samsung or nokia or sony ericsson…although I like the droid, ppl just don’t trust it yet..

That looks really nice. I’m pretty sure it has great sound quality too. A good phone always goes great with a good Bluetooth. If only I had that…
A couple of my friends have the Droid. They say it’s a great phone- but then again, every new phone is always a great phone. Let’s see what they think about it in a few months.
