AT&T expands 3G network in Carolinas

In two press releases, AT&T (NYSE: T) announced expansion of its 3G network into South and North Carolina. In the southern state, the carrier expanded in the markets of Florence, Greenville and Charleston. As for North Carolina, AT&T’s mobile broadband network is now available in Asheville, Hendersonville, Hickory, Concord, Wilmington, and Havelock; as well as Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro.

In total, AT&T’s 3G network now works in more than 350 major metropolitan areas, and you can get the coverage map from this page on AT&T’s website. Alternatively, you can watch Verizon (NYSE: VZ)’s ads if you feel mean. ;)
