The Salvation Army has launched a national text message donation program. The program’s goal is to raise funds for the ‘vulnerable and marginalized’. An honorable goal indeed. If you’d like to donate, all you need to do is text the word ‘HOPE’ to 45678 from any Rogers or Bell mobile device to make a $5.00 contribution. Now how easy is that? The money will go direct to The Salvation Army’s Christmas campaign and will support the 1.5 million folks they serve every year.
The new text-to-donate program launched back on December 5th during their annual ‘Santa Shuffle’ runs that take place across the country. These charity fundraisers raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for The Salvation Army, and the new text-to-donate is just one new and effective way we can all get involved. I mean, honestly, how easy is that? Just send a quick text message and you’re done? Awesome!
