So we are awash with Google Nexus One news at the moment, which is great, but Europe hasn’t seen much love, other than a brief ‘yeah it’ll be coming soon’. Well, I can change that for you now because the Vodafone UK site has a forum, on which the GNO is discussed – or more accurately, the particulars around it. Now, before you erupt out of your (UK) seat and start expecting details like pricing, forget it – overall, it’s just an indication it is coming to VFUK. I’ve pulled the most relevant Q&A from the greater list that you can find on the site here:

Q. Will Vodafone customers be able to get the recently announced Google offer in the UK? If so, when?

A. There will be more information soon about when Vodafone customers in the UK will able to get the Google superphone offer. We’re planning an early Spring launch.

Q. Will Vodafone have a specific Google tariff or is it likely to be the kind of tariff Vodafone offers for smartphones?

A. The price plan will be similar to those Vodafone offers for its wide range of smartphones

Q. Will the phone be available on prepay in the UK?

A. Customers will be able to purchase the Nexus One SIM-free and unlocked and take advantage of our Super SIM plans.

Q. When will the offering be available with a VF contract in the UK?

A. There will be more information soon about when Vodafone customers in the UK will able to get the Google superphone offer.

Q. Will you be selling in Vodafone stores or via Vodafone.co.uk?

A. The Google offer is a new way to purchase a mobile phone so will only be available online through Google’s web store (www.google.com/phone).

Once again, for the full Q&A, go here. Or you can check out the Google Nexus One generic details on Google.com/phone.
