The Apple Tablet has proven to be this month’s hottest rumor topic. With Apple set to unveil something fresh and new at their Jan. 27th event in San Francisco, the rumor mill is churning out juicy tidbits on the daily. The latest whispers surrounding the fabled Apple Tablet (iSlate?) have both Verizon and AT&T picking up the device and offering it at a discounted price point when purchased with a 2-year wireless data plan. If true, we’ll see the biggest players in the US wireless game putting their marketing might behind the Apple Tablet.

According to insiders at AT&T and Verizon, Fox News is reporting that both carriers will offer the Tablet. Verizon has been previously rumored as one of Apple’s tablet partners, but AT&T also has a working relationship with Apple that makes them a prime candidate for getting the Tablet. Word on the street has AT&T and Verizon likely offering a $200 discount on the device in exchange for signing up for two years of a $60 per month data plan. Current speculation has the Tablet priced around $800- $1,000.

That’s all for now. We’ll know more by Jan. 27th.
