Weight Watchers updates its iPhone app

Weight Watchers iPhone app

After the initial launch in September 2009, Weight Watchers released the updated iPhone app. Among the things included in this release are new recipes, articles and cheat sheet.

The application remains free and allows users to:

  • See a new Weight Watchers Featured Recipe each day, and save 10 favorites
  • Create shopping lists from recipes
  • Access interactive Cheat Sheets that show you what to look for and how to better understand the foods you eat
  • Read success stories, and other tips and articles
  • Contact Weight Watchers to arrange a meeting

In addition, subscribers to Weight Watchers Online or eTools can also track POINTS values for food and activity; calculate POINTS values of items in restaurants or on grocery store shelves; access database of more than 31,000 food options, plus meals, recipes and restaurants; store POINTS values for “favorite” and “recently added” foods; view personal weight history; and compare POINTS values with a full suite of Cheat Sheets.
