Rogers’ discount carrier, Fido, has just launched new CityFido PrePaid options in nine Canadian cities… Which ones? Included are Toronto, London, Ottawa/Gatineau, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria. Customers in those cities will get 1,000 in-zone anytime local minutes with unlimited incoming and outgoing SMS messages, call waiting, voicemail and call display… For $45. Not too shabby.
Of course, if you’re out of your local area, long distance charges will apply, at $0.40 per minute.
