Samsung Galaxy 2

I’m not sure whether we should believe the image above, but apparently it’s the successor to Samsung’s first Android smartphone – I7500 Galaxy. From what we’ve heard, the Galaxy 2 will get a specs boost to include such things as 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 32GB of internal memory, whereas Android 2.1 will run the show. Rest of the specs remain pretty much unchanged — i.e. 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack, GPS, compass, WiFi and so on.

In other words, it sounds like a solid competitor to Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s Nexus One and Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) Xperia X10. Luckily we’ll see this baby officially announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Stay tuned…

After the way Samsung Galaxy users have been treated I doubt they’ll sell any phones. The bad press is out there for all to see and the fact that Mustymod has implemented 2.0 months before Samsung have (or ever will) further enforces that Samsung should not be allowed to use the Android platform unless they actually support it.

The Galaxy is a broken phone and I can guarantee that the Galaxy 2 will be just as bad.
