GetJar launches white label mobile app catalog solution for carriers and partners

GetJar — the company behind app stores for such companies as Sony Ericsson (PlayNow Arena), Vodafone, 3 UK and Virgin Francelaunched App Catalogue Express (ACE), a white label mobile app catalog solution for carriers and partners. And they already have a first client – The Carphone Warehouse, which is Europe’s leading independent mobile phone retailer.

Now I’m guessing GetJar’s next step is to attract more companies who may be interested to launch their own app stores. There are quite a few smaller carriers that are certainly looking forward to increase their ARPU, and in that sense, offering a catalog of apps can help. Moreover, GetJar may also pitch its ACE offering to smaller handset makers and other large phone retailers, both of which want to increase post sale profits. We’ll see how that goes…
