SPB Software announced that an updated version (5.0) of their highly-popular SPB Mobile Shell app will be launched at the Mobile World Congress. The good news is that it will no longer be a “Windows Mobile thing,” only — in addition to Microsoft’s mobile OS, the company will also release its UI software/platform for Symbian S60 and Android platforms.

We don’t have all the details, but we do know few things:

  • It will feature 3D interface
  • It will be completely customizable
  • Huge number of widgets will be available
  • Improved usability

In addition to SPB Mobile Shell 5.0, SPB will also unveil the new SPB TV Mobile Operator Solution along with new clients for iPhone and webOS devices. We’ll have the official release within days, so stay tuned…
