If you’ve been sick of hearing me gush over Plants vs Zombies for the iPhone, it looks like this may very well be my last post regarding the game as it’s finally been released on the iPhone.  That is, unless, Plants vs Zombies makes its way to the iPad!

In case you haven’t been keeping tabs on the game, Plants vs Zombies is a tower defense game developed by PopCap Games (or, as I like to call them, PopCrack since their games are so very, very addictive.)  You defend your house from an incoming swarm of zombies by placing various plants on your lawn in order to defeat them.  As you progress through waves of Zombies, they become increasingly difficult.

Plants vs Zombies iPhone plays identical to its desktop version.  Players pick which plant they’d like to use, and depending on where you place your finger, the game will produce two highlighted lines to assist the player in putting down their plant in the correct spot.  Another addition to the iPhone version is achievements, which are unlocked by completing certain in-game requirements.

You can pick up Plants vs Zombies right now for a ridiculously low price of $2.99.  I just hope you iPhone users have a battery recharger on hand since you WILL lose track of time playing this game.
