NFC, the technology, is doing great, but NFC, the name, isn’t. It can’t be trademarked, and no one really owns it, so the NFC-Forum has decided to invent N-Mark. The new N-Mark logo will become standard icon you’ll see at cash points, in shops, and anywhere else NFC technology can be used. Similar to how Bluetooth has the letter B written in a signature way, NFC has a stylized N in the logo you see above.
For some odd reason I can’t stop thinking of Zorro when looking at it, but then again I’m a strange strange man.
