It’s not every day I report on British BlackBerry goodness (I generally leave that to Ben), but this one caught my eye and had to be told. The BBC Have updated their iPlayer app to be BlackBerry-friendly. Yes, iPlayer is now compatible with most current BlackBerry devices, and the delivers content to you about your favorite BBC programs via WiFi. No 3G here, you’ve got to be connected via WiFi for all the goodness.

So there you have it. If you’re in the UK, pack a BlackBerry and want to know what’s going on with the BBC, pick up your copy of iPlayer. You’ll be able to check schedules, search for shows, browse highlights, and of course, watch your favorite shows. How cool.
