Sarris brothers from Greece (CrazySoft), which I met more than two years ago at the UIQ Fast Track event in Budapest in 2007, have released a new game called Trigna. It’s a match-three puzzle game and your goal is to score points by making triangles. You have few seconds until each round is over, so you better hurry and make as many different triangles as possible.

I confess that I spent only about 15 minutes playing Trigna prior to writing this post. But I also add those were fun 15 minutes. ;)

Virtually, all smartphone platforms are supported, including Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Palm OS (Garnet) Symbian S60, UIQ (if there are any UIQ users left) and the iPhone. Strangely, Android is not on the list, but I’m guessing that will change in the near future. webOS is also missing, but that’s easy to understand as Palm’s latest smartphones are available only in few markets in Europe.

Finally, in case you wonder, the name “Trigna” comes from the Greek word “Trigona” which means “triangles”.

The word actually originates from Sanskrit's "Kona" which means angle. And "tri" or "three" also has its origins in sanskrit's "traya" or "tri" which means three. A triangle is actually called "trikonn" in many Indian languages.
