Apple iPad accessories may be delayed

If you pre-ordered the iPad last Friday, you’re going to have to wait a while to get your hands on some of the accessories.

It looks like the keyboard dock and the 10W USB Power Adapter won’t ship until a month after the device’s release, and the iPad case will hit in mid-April (bummer). The iPad dock and dock connector to VGA should hit stores along with the iPad April 3, and it’s unclear when the camera connection kit will hit. I don’t think this is a big deal but Electronista points out that these delays didn’t happen with the iPhone, which could point to problems with keeping up with demand. The keyboard dock is an odd choice by Apple because I don’t see much value in this thing if it has to stay in a fixed location. If you’re looking for a portable device to get some serious word processing done, just grab a laptop or netbook. Any IntoMobile readers order an iPad yet? Do you plan on getting any of the accessories?
