Bharti Airtel, India’s largest operator with over 124 million customers, has announced that they’re going to carry the iPhone 3GS. They’ve been selling the iPhone 3G since August 2008, and the iPhone 3GS was released internationally during the summer of 2009, so people there are probably a bit anxious.

Will they get the new iPhone, as in the one after the 3GS? Too early to tell. There’s almost no information in this article from The Wall Street Journal.

There is a splash page for the 3GS however: http://www.airtel.in/iphone3gs/
