Ngmoco - iPad

iPhone gaming giant Ngmoco is serious when it comes to the Apple iPad. The company plans to release a total of 6 titles right away at launch. The games that will be released are: GodFinger, We Rule, Flick Fishing, NBA Hotshot, CastleCraft and WarpGate.

Those of you who follow the mobile gaming news carefully probably noticed that 4 out of 6 titles are Freeverse games — Ngmoco acquired Freeverse at the end of February, FYI.

Ngmoco said it plans to bring the fremium model to Apple’s mobile platform, allowing some things to be free, whereas some others will be sold.

We’ve no doubts Ngmoco knows what it’s doing. The question is not whether iPad will be as nearly as successful as the iPhone (the answer to that is “no”), the question is – whether Apple will be able to move enough units to reach the tipping point that will engage the ecosystem. Ngmoco seems confident in the power of the Apple brand, are you?
