So, have you placed your iPad pre-order yet? If your answer is a resounding NO, then skip this post, it doesn’t concern you. If your answer is YES, of course! Then this little tidbit may very well make your day.
Looks like the iPad pre-orders are now shipping, with shipment notifications going out right now via email. Sure, the iPad isn’t supposed to be available until April 3rd, but with notifications going out, and delivery handled by UPS, there’s certainly more than a chance that a few lucky folks will get their hands on an iPad before the weekend.
In other iPad news, according to a report over at TechCrunch, Apple has confirmed that the iPad will be on sale at ‘Most Best Buy Stores’ on April 3rd. If waiting in line at an Apple store isn’t your thing, you can wait in line at Best Buy instead. In the end 221 Best Buy locations should carry the iPad, and along with it, a free setup service is said to be on tap for customers. A staffer will help new iPad owners customize their unit with email setup, download of needed apps, and more.
Here’s a quick recap of availability and pricing again… the WiFi model is available April 3rd in the US for $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB) and $699 (64GB). The WiFi + 3G models will be available in late April for $629 (16GB), $729 (32GB) and $829 (64GB).
We’re almost there. You excited?
