Match.com has released a dating application for Android, allowing the many, many single phone geeks out there to see their matches, browse favourites, send winks, send and recieve messages, and upload profile pictures right from the device’s camera.
Online dating, despite being around for years now, is still considered something of a crap-shoot, let alone with the mobile element thrown in. There are some matchmaking services, like MeetMoi, Grindr, or PinPointsX that incorporate more geo-awareness than Match.com, but there’s definitely some privacy boundaries that folks have when it comes to dating rather than just booty calls – when it comes to looking for a relationship, it definitely makes more sense to keep prospects at arms-length initially.
Match.com is already available on the Palm’s webOS, BlackBerry, iPhone, and will eventually be out on Windows Phone 7, but you can get a closer look at everything on Match.com’s mobile page.
