Do-it-Yourself iPad Sleeve

Duct tape? Check. Apple logo sticker? Check. Bubble-wrap envelope? Check. iPad? Check. Looks like we’re all set to build our very own iPad sleeve.

The other day over on TUAW I noticed a couple of very clever iPad case and dock solutions for those that may be on a bit of a tight budget. Using household items, a little creativity, and some elbow grease, anyone can build their own custom iPad case or dock. Yes, it’s pretty darn easy!

Take Frank Hsueh for example. He went ahead and made an iPad sleeve out of a bubble-wrap envelope, duct tape, double-sided tape, and yes, of course, the familiar Apple sticker. Check it out above. Not so bad, is it!? :) Frank even managed to build a very functional top flap by using some nifty velcro patches. Drop the iPad inside, fold the top flap over and BAM, your iPad is all sealed up and protected inside this home-made beauty.

So there you have it. If you don’t feel like dropping any coin on any new iPad accessories, there ARE options. Do YOU have any ideas?

*tip of the cap* to Frank. Very creative my friend, very creative.
