The summer movie blockbusters will soon be upon us when Iron Man 2 hits theaters on May 7th. As much as over-the-top CGI, explosions around every corner, and corny catchphrases are staples for summer movie blockbusters, so are the video game tie-ins. SEGA will be releasing Iron Man 2 on May 4th across all major video game platforms, but how about the ole iDevices? Well, it looks like Gameloft is stepping to the plate by offering Iron Man 2 on the iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad.
As with most video games based off the movie, Iron Man 2 will closely follow the events of the film. You’ll be able to play as both Iron Man and War Machine, each with their own specific attacks and armor. No other information regarding the game is known at this point including price point & release date, but if it’s any where near as good as Avatar was, then we’re all in for a real treat.
[Update: Iron Man 2 will release in most of Europe on April 26th, while Germany, Austria, & North America will be getting Iron Man 2 on May 3rd.]
