Flicktweets, the service that organizes movie tweets based on movie titles, is getting an iPhone app. Using it, moviegoers and other interested folks can track the buzz around trailers and releases. Likewise, the service (and an iPhone app) could also prove useful for movie marketers.

In addition to following tweets, Flicktweets for iPhone can also retrieve movie information from MRQE.com — the Movie Review Query Engine — giving users a glimpse of the movie reviews. There’s also the other side of the coin, meaning you could tweet your own review right from within Flicktweets.

Finally, there’s also an option to purchase tickets through Fandango, removing the need to leave the app.

In a nutshell, if you frequently visit theaters and like the Twitter’s “style of communication,” you’ll definitely want to grab Flicktweets’ iPhone app. Of course, you’ll also need an iPhone or iPod Touch, but I presume you do own one as you wouldn’t keep reading thus far. ;)
