Looking to protect your iPad from the many pitfalls of daily use? There are a lot of iPad skins out there, but there’s only one company that offers a faux carbon fiber skin for your iPad. That company is StealthArmor, and they’ve just launched their latest line of metallic skins to protect your shiny new Apple tablet. In addition to the carbon fiber (black or white), black matte, wood grain and clear films, StealthArmor now offers metallic-looking options in shiny gold, bronze, tungsten and brushed aluminum.

The iPad skins are not actually made of metal, so they won’t interfere with your WiFi or 3G signal reception. We’ll admit that Apple did a whiz-bang job with the industrial design of their slim tablet, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t use a little extra pizazz. That being said, we definitely prefer the Tungsten finish.

You’ll notice in the picture that the film covers the Apple logo, but doesn’t mask it completely. It conforms to the lines of the iPad and shows the Apple logo sunken into the film. The Tungsten finish seems to do a good job of showing the lines of the Apple logo.
