Retina-X Studios is bringing its Mobile Spy application/service to the Apple iPad. Just like that was the case with the iPhone version, a jailbroken iPad is required in order for the application to do its “stealth magic,” which involves silently recording the contents of all emails sent or received. In addition, the software also records web addresses visited in Safari and any contact added to the iPad’s contacts list.

After activities are logged, they are silently uploaded to the user’s private online account. If no Internet connection is present, the logs will resume upload at the next Internet connection. Accounts can be checked online from any web browser without needing further access to the iPad.

One satisfied customer (Derrick) had this to say about Retina’s offering: “Mobile Spy is a priceless piece of software. After having some doubts about honesty, this really helped set the record straight and confirmed my suspicions.”

Finally, in addition to the iPad and iPhone versions, Mobile Spy is also available for BlackBerry, Android, Windows Mobile and Symbian OS devices.
