Don’t you just love HTC? At least when it comes to their own-branded handsets which are not sold through carrier partners, they are updated on a regular basis — carrier branded models are not as frequently updated, unfortunately.

The HD2 is probably the most impressive example as it has been updated for quite a few times now. Other devices — including the Hero, Diamond2, Touch Pro2 — also got firmware updates from time to time.

And now we have the HTC Smart, which is the least powerful device in HTC’s portfolio, getting the same treatment. The Taiwanese company released HTC Sync software for the Qualcomm’s Brew MP-powered device, allowing users to have their Outlook contacts and calendars in sync, or just contacts if they happen to use the “plain vanilla” Outlook Express.

The news was announced through HTC’s support feed, which we keep following, so you don’t have to. To download HTC Sync for your Smart, hop over to this page and follow instructions provided on the screen. It should be easy as 1-2-3. ;)
