If you’re a child gamer of the 80s, then you might recall a game called Prince of Persia. The game was a breath of fresh air compared to the majority of platformers at the time. When every other game was trying to be a Super Mario Bros. clone, the original Prince of Persia stunned players with its amazing graphics, fluid character animations, and its rewarding combat system. Now it looks like Ubisoft will be bringing Prince of Persia Classic on the iPhone by late June.

No further info was given at this time by Ubisoft about the game, just that it exists and we’ll be seeing it in a few weeks. The original Prince of Persia Classic was released in June 2007 on the Xbox Live Arcade, then on the Playstation Network in October. Since the game was small enough to fit as a downloadble title, then I’m sure the iPhone version will be that very same version, except for the probable on-screen controls.
