Motorola Droid Shadow

What the heck. Keeping up with the trend of ‘found’ devices in public places, the next-gen Droid (aka the Motorola Droid Shadow) was found at a Verizon corporate gym in Washington.

Here’s the back story. Apparently, the phone was left in the gym, and the device was found by a gym employee before it was remotely locked. The lucky guy also happened to read a text message confirming it was indeed an unreleased device…all this before the device was remotely locked. Ummmm, OK. Whether you believe the story or not is one thing. The specs on the device are much more believable. Here’s what we know about the Motorola Droid Shadow:

  • 4.3″ touchscreen display
  • Snapdragon processor
  • 16GB internal storage
  • Android 2.1 or 2.2
  • MOTOBLUR (of course)
  • 8 MP camera with 720p video recording capabilities
  • HDMI port

Sounds pretty solid, and of course, more details are to come.

Any guesses where the next ‘it’ phone will be found? Perhaps laying around the set of the Oprah Winfrey show? Actually, I could see that happening…
