Back on the 19th I reported that Koodo Mobile would launch the BlackBerry Curve 8530 (and 2 new add-on plans) on May 25th. While this was indeed the plan, it looks like things have been delayed a little bit.
Our friends at MobileSyrup received a note from a tipster, noting that launch will be pushed back to the 27th (tomorrow). The reasoning? Looks like the folks at Koodo cited the long weekend in Canada as the reason for the baulk. They didn’t want to launch the device following the long weekend, in fear that some stores may not receive shipments in time. That actually makes a lot of sense. Good on ‘em.
Pricing on the Koodo BlackBerry Curve 8530 should be set at $150 on ‘the Tab’ and $300 off-contract. If you’ve been waiting to pick one up, tomorrow is your day.
