Koodo Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8530

It’s here. We knew it was coming, but yeah… it’s here. Koodo Mobile has officially launched the BlackBerry Curve 8530 in all of its modestly priced BlackBerry glory. It’s worth noting that this is Koodo’s first official ‘smartphone’ to take a spot in their lineup… A *tip of the cap* is due to Koodo for stepping up to the plate here. The BlackBerry 8530 is a solid choice, not only for the solid feature set, but for the modest pricing as well. It’s a favorite of many.

At any rate, as we speculated the Koodo BlackBerry Curve 8530 is available now for $300, or on ‘the Tab’ for $150. Silver is your only color option at this point, so if you don’t like that… who cares, just get a case or skin :P

Two new plans are also available for the new device. A ‘BlackBerry Social‘ plan includes unlimited BlackBerry messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Facebook, Twitter and more for $10 per month. Their ‘BlackBerry Connect‘ plan includes up to 500MB of email, and unlimited BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, etc… same stuff as the first plan. Before you can start using your new 8530 you’ll need to activate one of these plans, and any overages you may throw down will run you 5 cents per MB.

For all the details, hit up Koodo.
