HTC “Intruder” could be coming to AT&T

An inventory screen shot obtained by Unwired View shows that AT&T may be getting an HTC handset known as the “Intruder.”

Details are sparse on this one, but it looks like this device will cost $699.99 without a contract and it will run $129.99 with a new, two-year contract. There’s a chance this could also be the leaked HTC Aria, which could be a solid Android handset.

The Aria/Intruder is reportedly a Droid Incredible but a bit smaller and less powerful. The device is expected to have a 2.5-inch or a 2.8-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera, microUSB slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and optical trackpad. It should run Android 2.1 with the Sense UI on top, as well.

Whatever the Intruder turns out to be, I’m sure it will be a welcome addition to AT&T’s portfolio of handsets. The company currently only has the Motorola BackFlip, which is not that great of a device. Check out our full review of that device to see why it failed to impress. AT&T is supposed to have five Android handsets in the first half of the year, so let’s hope we see this one sooner rather than later.

If I had a dollar for every HTC Android phone coming to "real soon now" to at&t, I would be a rich man. First at&t was supposed to introduce the HTC "Lancaster", then it was the "Desire", lately it has been the "Aria", and now we're to believe it is to be the "Intruder". Enough already! How much longer is at&t going to string Android fans along?!

Until there's no one left but Iphone owners.

I own an IPhone…and since the upgrade to the new OS4…I have hated it. It is enough to make me think about switching to another phone. And another carrier.

Amen! My iPhone 3G has gone to sh!t since the installation of OS4. I just bought the "Intruder" or otherwise known through AT&T as the Aria; I LOVE it. Beats the iPhone 3G hands down – seriously!
