Remember ‘applegirl002‘? You know, the young Korean girl that used multiple iPhones to help her belt out tunes like Beyonce’s ‘Irreplaceable‘? If you’ve forgotten, simply hit play on the video above, and keep reading. Yeah she loves her iPhone… and she can sing too!

As it turns out, AppleGirl has been signed to a record contract. A South Korean record company has taken note of the popularity of her YouTube videos, and no doubt growing following… Couple that with the fact that she can actually sing, and everything adds up to a shiny new contract for the budding South Korean star. How cool is that for her!?

So how did she do it? It only took millions of views of her videos on YouTube, and a growing ‘cult’ following. Turns out the girl was big not only in South Korea, but in England as well… and I can’t blame the fans. I mean, sure, when I first popped open one of her videos I thought to myself ‘what the heck is this?’… But after listening for awhile, you have to admit, there’s some talent there!

Could we see her in an upcoming Apple ad? Not very likely. However, in a poll conducted in merry ol’ England, online voters preferred AppleGirl over Lady Gaga when asked who’d they would prefer to see in a new Apple campaign. I don’t know about that, after all, Lady Gaga does have a song named ‘Telephone‘, doesn’t she? That would be a perfect fit for iPhone 4, wouldn’t it? :)

In the end, congratulations are in order to AppleGirl. She gets a *tip of the cap* from me. I only ask that she keeps the iPhones with her and incorporates them into her first release somehow. Either feature them in a video, or work them into the lyrics, or both. That’d be sweet, wouldn’t it?
