Three news phones are coming out of T-Mobile today, one and all made by Samsung and geared for heavy SMS and e-mail users. The Gravity 3 and Gravity T both have landscape slide-out QWERTY keyboards, while the Smiley’s keyboard is portrait-oriented. They’re also preloaded with an app called T-Mobile Social Buzz, which keeps an eye on popular social networking sites (like Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace) and provides pop-up notifications when there are updates. I doubt those notifications use true push, but it sure would be interesting to see on a dumbphone. Both of the Gravity handsets have a 2 megapixel camera, while the Smiley is a tad lower-end, with 1.3 megapixels. The Gravity T has a touch-sensitive display, while its brother makes do with a traditional numeric keypad on the front face.
The Smiley is going for a scant $19.99 with a two-year contract with T-Mobile, while the Samsung Gravity 3 is $49.99 on contract, and the Gravity T is $74.99.
