The Nokia 5230 has been making the mobile news in Canada recently. Not necessarily for any awesome reason in particular, but because new color variations keep popping up. About a week ago I told you about WIND Mobile and how they launched the 5230 in white back in April, only to follow it up recently with a black variant.
Today, the good folks at Mobilicity are doing pretty much the same thing. They’ve launched the Nokia 5230 in Black, for all to see. Off contract pricing on the device is set at $169.99, and it comes with a free Bluetooth headset. Handy if you don’t want to get caught driving while talking on your mobile device *tsk tsk*.
The official description of the Nokia 5230 on Mobilicity goes a little something like this:
The Nokia 5230 touch screen smartphone is versatile, stylish and packed with features. View and reply to email using the virtual QWERTY keyboard. Play your music with the embedded music player. Snap pictures with the 2.0 megapixel camera. It’s also loaded with maps so you’ll always know exactly where you’re going.
The Nokia 5230 also packs the following key features:
- S60 5th Edition OS
- Bluetooth
- weight: 113 grams
- 1320mAh battery, good for 4.5 hours of talk time and 458 hours of standby
- GPS/A-GPS
- microSD expansion up to 16B
