According to Aliph — the company that makes that sexy Jawbone Bluetooth headsets — their customers love the iPhone and the other way round – iPhone users want a Jawbone headset. To prove the claim, they conducted a consumer research in April 2010 only to find out that 42% of Jawbone users with a smartphone use an iPhone, up from 33% a year ago. Conversely, more than 15% of iPhone users with a Bluetooth headset own a Jawbone, up from 12% in 2009. To be honest I’m not sure these are the real figures, but alas, that’s another story.

Anyway, Aliph is all proud their Jawbone ICON headset perfectly sings along the iPhone 4. As a matter of fact, the company says it [ICON] is the only Bluetooth headset with a visual battery meter on the iPhone, which displays in the status bar. That’s a cool feature and I’m hoping other Bluetooth headset makers will implement it in their products too.

In addition, they’ve also launched two new iPhone apps for the Jawbone ICON. The first one is called “MyFAVORITE” and it allows users to set a single favorite number and dial it with one press of a button on Jawbone ICON (it’s still not in the AppStore, though). The second app is “Voice on the Go” and it lets users listen to email, send email and text messages, make calls and update Facebook and Twitter handsfree, all by only using their voice. The application comes with a 14-day free trial and users can additionally register for a full subscription…
